Da Afghanistan Bank Internships

Da Afghanistan Bank periodically offers unpaid summer internships to college sophomores, juniors, or seniors who are majoring in finance, economics, or a related discipline.

These tasks are carried out by Chief information Office (CIO ) of Da Afghanistan Bank.

Financial analysts in the division review banking applications submitted for Board approval, monitor the condition of bank holding companies and state member banks, and develop corrective actions for any deficiencies found at the supervised institutions. The analysts also help develop policy and practices.

Interns help support the operations of the division. College students are encouraged to apply for unpaid summer internships in the division and, if accepted, are expected to work from approximately September 1 to December 1.

Dissertation Internships

Da Afghanistan Bank offers internships for graduate students to work or conduct research at various departments: CIO, Monetary Policy, Market Operations, Accounting, Financial Supervision and as well as other DAB departments

Internships are offered in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Interns work on a topic of their own choosing, usually furthering dissertation research begun before the internship. Preference is given to university student candidates whose topics deal with macroeconomics (broadly defined), international economics, finance, banking, and econometrics. Applications are also welcome from students working in other fields of economics.
